One Quarter Of An Inch

One Inch. The bones unit of measurement for dollhouses
This is the inch symbol "

One half inch (1/2")
There are two halfs in one inch (1/2 + ane/ii = 1)
Observe the measurement that woould be 3 1/2" (three and one half inches)

One quarter inch (i/4")
There are four quarters in ane inch (one/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/four = 1")
In that location are two quarters in i one-half inch (i/4 + one/four = 1/2)
See three 3/4"? (3 and three quarters")... detect 3 1/4"

Eighths of an inch (1/8") There are eight of them between each inch mark.
Notice that the ane/iv" marks (ii eighths) and the 1/2" marks (4 eighths) are longer, but they are still counted when counting the spaces for eighths
Come across iii 5/8"? (three and five eighths)... find four three/8"

Sixteenths of an inch. In that location are 16 of them between each mark
16/sixteen = one inch
Again notice that yous count all of the longer marks. Each step of the way, you count the marks for that fraction and the longer marks, but non the shorter marks
Where is 3 15/xvi? [hint: three 16/16 = 4", so three 15/16 is 1/16 less than 4]

Thirtyseconds of an inch - now that's small, only some rulers evidence them
Each one/xvi" mark stands for two 1/32" and so 7/32 is the same as
3 and one half i/16" spaces (2 + 2 + 2 + 1)
A measurement of 19/32 would be the aforementioned as
nine and one half ane/xvi" spaces
which is the same every bit i/2" + 1/16" + half of 1/16"... tin can yous find it?
